Studio Gold Group Show opens at MyPlasticHeart April 16th

The Studio Miners' fifth annual exhibit, Studio Gold, opening at myplasticheart on April 16, 2016 features work by over 25 artists from across the country and overseas. The exhibit hearkens back to the roots of the curating duo's mission - to document the wonderfully exciting world of artists, collectors and creatives of all kinds. For this exhibit, artists were free to create any work, as opposed to following a theme as in previous years, as long as the artwork embodies a 12" x 12" space.  For more info on the Studio Gold

US Open of Surfing 2015!

This is my 3rd or 4th year helping out the Vans Artists in the 2015 Vans US Open of Surfing down in Huntington Beach.  Usually I just help the artists out with stuff but this year I had a special opportunity to have my art work as cool background photos for the athlete's booth.  Folks could come in and photograph w/ my Surfing bear or skateboarding dudes.  I've included some of the fun photos with the Vans athlete's and my characters!

Vans Surf Leila Hurst and Vans Skate Lizzie Armanto

Vans Skate Geoff Rowley in the booth!

Vans Surf Dylan Graves in the booth.

I was fortunate enough to work on three awesome designs for Blunt Umbrellas based out of New Zealand. The designs were based on the concept that Blunt's umbrellas would protect you from all the elements. The three designs we ended up doing were 1) Hippy  2) Donut  3) Dynamite!  Nothing but awesome good things came from this project, and I'm eternally stoked on it.

Here's a look at the Classic + Hsiung Umbrella (Metro available too) which comes with a signature Blunt case w/ the drawings all around it.
